The agreements signed by l’X with the University of Tehran, the University of Isfahan and Sharif University of Technology, aim at promoting student and faculty mobility as well as encouraging scientific and academic cooperation.
In particular, students in the third year of their Bachelor degree in these three universities will have the possibility to take the competitive entrance exam organized in Iran to access the Ingénieur polytechnicien program. Furthermore, Master’s students selected by both École Polytechnique and the partner university will be able to do a co-supervised PhD between the two institutions after having attended a second year of Master’s program operated at l’X. In return, École Polytechnique students can do their research internship in one of the partner universities in Iran, their accommodation and local expenses being covered.
Through those agreements, l’X and its three partner universities in Iran also promote exchanges of professors for short term stays. Moreover, they agree to conjugate their efforts to organize workshops addressing scientific topics of common interest for both the Iranian and French scientific communities, in order to enhance mutual knowledge and collaborations.
