PALAISEAU, June 8, 2021 – Institut Polytechnique de Paris (IP Paris) is ranked among the Top 50 best universities in the world for its entry in the 2022 World University Rankings published by QS, in 49th position. IP Paris ranks 15th worldwide in terms of employer reputation of its graduates.

This recognition of the excellence of its five founding schools – École Polytechnique, ENSTA Paris, ENSAE Paris, Télécom Paris, and Télécom SudParis – places IP Paris in the top 4% of the world’s 1,300 universities ranked by QS.

Two years after its creation stemming from the initiative put in place by French President Emmanuel Macron, IP Paris asserts itself as a major player and is recognized as a reference on the French and international scene of higher education and research institutions.

Institut Polytechnique de Paris ranks 2nd among the 32 French institutions ranked by QS, in between Université Paris Sciences et Lettres (PSL) in 44th position and Sorbonne University in 72nd position.

IP Paris’ performance, reflecting the commitment and involvement of all the teams of its member schools, is based on the strong scientific contributions of its professors, the global reputation of its graduates, one of the highest faculty/student ratios in the world, as well as a strong international openness, both in the recruitment of its students (40% international students) and its academic and research staff (38% recruited internationally). IP Paris offers one of the best educational environments internationally.

The recognition of Institut Polytechnique de Paris as a world-class institution of higher education and research upon its entry into the QS ranking of the world’s top universities reflects its formidable strengths and testifies to the remarkable collective work for the past two years by all of the different actors of the five schools that embody it,” states Eric Labaye, President of Institut Polytechnique de Paris.
