Guillaume Cassou (Class of 1998) is appointed Chairman of the Ecole Polytechnique Charitable Trust

During a meeting on October 23, 2020, the Board of the Ecole Polytech-nique Charitable Trust, sister organization of the École Polytechnique Foundation in the United Kingdom, unanimously appointed Guillaume Cassou (Class of 1998) Chairman of the Ecole Polytechnique Charitable Trust. He thus succeeds Amine Bel Hadj Soulami (Class of 1981) who held this position since November 2013.

Graduate of École Polytechnique (class of 1998), Guillaume Cassou is Partner and Head of Real Estate in Europe at KKR since 2012. He began his career at Goldman Sachs in investment banking, then became Executive Director in Real Estate (Merchant Banking Division).

Strongly attached to his Alma Mater, Guillaume Cassou joined the Ecole Polytechnique Charitable Trust (EPCT) as Trustee in November 2015. Sister organization of the École Polytechnique Foundation in the United Kingdom, the EPCT actively works alongside the École Polytechnique Foundation by relaying its actions and animating the second fundraising campaign launched in 2016.

“I am very pleased to take on the role of Chairman of the EPCT today, and I would like to thank Amine Bel Hadj Soulami and all the Trustees for the confidence they place in me with this nomination. I look forward to becoming even more involved in École Polytechnique’s major projects as well as those with my fellow comrades living in the United Kingdom,” declares Guillaume Cassou.

“On behalf of the École Polytechnique Foundation, I would like to warmly thank Amine Bel Hadj Soulami for his investment and commitment to our School, and I offer my best wishes to Guillaume Cassou as he takes on this new role,” adds Jean-Paul Cottet, Executive Director of the École Polytechnique Foundation.
